Aragorn: Mae govannan, Legolas.
Aragorn looks and sounds awful, Legolas is worse than Arwen as Glorfindel, Gollum looks like... like... well, I don't wanna even think about it. The orcs...
And to top it off, it ends awfully.
But at least it's good for the younger viewers... who can't see the real version...
Sigh, but it is awful none the less.

The cartoon was on Cartoon Network a while back... It scarred me for life!! Aragorn wasn't wearing pants, Boromir was a viking, the orcs were made of velvet and had gorrilla masks, and Gollum's loincloth was the same color as his flesh! Yeeew! What's worse, all hobbits but Sam looked like they were five years old, and Sam looked like he had serious mental problems! His face was all lumpy and he kept hitting himself! And Gandalf was so mean! I was glad that he got killed by the torch-bearing, lion-like balrog. Stupid cartoon.. *sniff sniff* I've been emotionally damaged. They'll pay for my counseling!

You guys are talking about the really old cartoon version of LotR, right?
Gollum gave my brother nightmares. And me, as a matter of fact... Although now that I think about it, he really resembled an evil looking frog with a sinus infection... Oh, no, wait, I am talking about The Hobbit cartoon *smacks self in head*. Well, if the other cartoons were remotely anything like that one, then I am glad that I have never seen them... One glance at the movie box and I put it back on the shelf were it belonged!
Biblo looked like a little lumpy faced child in The Hobbit, now that I think about it. Probably like how you have described Sam...
Book wise, I actually liked "The Hobbit" more than the other books. Don't know why. I know the LotR series took FOREVER to read and The Hobbit took a day. THEY ARE ALL VERY GOOD BOOKS, THOUGH, SO NOBODY HIT ME WITH ANYTHING!

Urgh. The Hobbit. SMAUG HAD FUR! It just wasn't right, I tell you, not natural at all. And the Elves were all wrinkly... *shudders* And *insert horrified gasp here* Elrond had a beard! If that isn't sacrilidge, then I don't know what is.

No! Not wrinkly elves!! Anything but wrinkly elves!!I LIKE smooth faced elves... *looks at picture of Legolas*... Agent Vader: Trinity, you are drooling... Trinity *trying to wipe mouth indiscretely*: No I am not!!! Ick. There is nothing intimidating about a FURRY dragon!Seriously, he is supposed to be made of red and gold scales. Fur is just gross... *shudders* Ditto bearded Elrond *shudders AGAIN*... Agent Vader: There is nothing wrong with beards... Trinity: How would you know? YOU DON'T HAVE A BEARD!! Let alone hair... *snicker* Agent Vader: Trinity: RUN AWAY FROM THE PSYCHOTIC BALD MACHINE MAN!!!

Ew, there is one where Saruman the White wears red. and then red rest is just plain creepy. And wrinkely elves? I think they had grapes on their helmuts...or something of the sort, kind of disturbed me.

I personally haven't seen the animated Hobbit, but I nearly died after watching the animated LOTR! Nearly died of laughter mainly, although I was crying at the same time.
Poor poor LOTR. SACRILEGE! BLASPHEMY! never again...never again...*sob* *sob* *sob*

*snicker* Four channels from an antenna on my roof. It's a wonder I know anything about the world today. Oh, wait, I have the Internet....
Did you ever notice that one half of the LotR one was by one animator, and the other half seemed a little, well, different? The first half was better. Even though Boromir had horns.... *gah*
Bleh. Is NOTHING sacred? They had to go off and destroy poor Boromir. Not to mention what they did to my poor Ringwraiths. Bob still shivers when you mention any animation at all. Poor little fellow.
Bob: *shivering* I am...... NOT..... *taken over by compulsive shivering* Okay.... maybe I am....

*cough* And the Lament for Gandalf sounded like they were REJOICING, for heavens sake!!! NOT TO MENTION THAT ALL THE HORNS SOUNDED THE SAME!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........
Yeah... it's an OKAY movie, if you aren't a LotR fan!
And, you know the Animated Hobbit... well, I've listened to it, and seen half of it... the Wood Elves look like... ORCS! I mean, THINK OF LEGOLAS!!!!!!!!!!! Snrk. It was awful... but the dwarves at least SOUNDED good!

I am SO glad Legolas doesn't look like an orc.... How can they justify giving Boromir horns? He is a MAN, for goodness sake, not a Balrog or goat!

Well, he may have acted a bit like a goat, but that's no reason to..... hey! A chicken!
Erm, sorry, got a little distracted there, for a moment. *cough* Okay, back on subject.
The Dwarves may have sounded good, but they all looked like they would break the moment you touched them. It would be like "Woops! I broke another Dwarf! Dzang (yes, I did just spell it like that, and it was on purpose)."
And, did you ever notice what happened when something died in The Hobbit? The screen would spin. You'd see this vegetable-like spider, and then it would gag or something, and the screen would spin. I got quite dizzy...

Actully the hobbit one, was more like a musical... mostly cuz they sang through the hole movie, unless they made creepy zinging noises or spun the screen. In the animater ROTK nothing makes sence. One minute you see Frodo and Sam the next Gandalf is talking about Aragorn. And Sam keep having scary seeing into future thing while little fat blobs with hair ran around then fell into the grass. I was terrifed and sad. We watched one in class like 2 years ago. Everyone was like "Hey, isnt that different from the movie?" and I was welll..laughing at their ignorance and sobbing at the mutilation of poor sam. That class didn't like me much because "Star Wars and Lord of the Rings are for Boys your a girl" I noticed that... but I still adore the shows anyway.,

If Star Wars and LotR are for boys, then why is the female population of this site far more girls than guys? I must ponder this....
