This was inspired in part by Robert A. Heinlein’s short story 'All You Zombies--'.
“Has anyone lately seen
my temporal distortion?
I seem to have misplaced it.”
said Sephora with a smile.
Jimmy will have answered
in an alternate past’s while
but his emotions were confused
by Sephora’s brilliant smile.
“They found a time machine in the back
by the treaded fields
Who do you think put that there?”
“I will this afternoon.”
Never put off til yesterday what you could have done tomorrow
unless you want tempremental teachers
rabid brain-wave leechers
and all that resulant sorrow.
The flyer said that time
was more relative than it had ever been
but would that fact remain
if he had used a different tense?
“If now is past then I’m still with you.”
says the dark bright-minded girl
while Jimmy is mundanity
and Sephora is the world.
