That's in Moscow, but I can't remember the name.
After consulting Google, I think I got it. Is it St. Basil's cathedral?

YES!! Its St Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, Russia! I'll mail you the prize soon. CONGRATULATIONS!!!! We had a power failure here for about 1 1/2 hours, so I'm behind on my fics. Lost half of my story, too.... wonder what caused it? Here is the next postcard!! Well, its actually 2 pictures but they go together. In the picture with the people, you need to tell me WHAT they are doing! Then tell me WHERE it is! I'm curious if anyone will know.... The very first time I saw this on a postcard I thought it looked so weird! lol But I've since learned (on the net) that its actually dangerous. They could fall and kill themselves. So, WHAT ARE THEY DOING HERE??? Dont forget to say what country! Have fun with this mystery. I also had to re-download Stopzilla. Thing stopped running...

Ummmmmmmm...all I'm getting are those cursed little red-X boxes. Something wrong with the host server? Or is my computer all screwy again?

Sometimes I get those red X boxes, too. But if you right click your mouse on the red X box, you should receive an option saying "Make photo appear". If you click on that, you SHOULD be able to see the picture!
But I'll email you the link, OK? Please let me know if you get it.
Also you could try refreshing the page.

(blinks) Hey, it works now. Thanks for the tip, by the way. I didn't know about the right-clicky thing.
But I still have no idea where this might be, exactly.
...
BOOM!!
It's...it's...THE BLARNEY!!! They're kissing the Blarney stone!! I just remembered!! After looking at the bottom picture with the guy bending backwards...I've seen pictures of that before. HAH! It's in Ireland somewhere, I believe. Or was it Scotland? Anyway...kissing the Blarney stone's supposed to give you good luck or something to that effect. So I'll go for Ireland. Heh.

YES, Jandalf, you're right again! Its the Blarney Stone in Blarney Castle in Blarney, Ireland! And kissing the stone is supposed to give you the "gift of the gab". That is, youre supposed to get good at talking. But kissing the stone is dangerous. You're supposed to be lowered into a hole on the parapet (spelling? the top of the tower) ... there is nothing below you but the hard ground a looooong way down. You hang onto metal bars and rely on someone that holds your legs/feet so you wont fall to your death. The stone itself is part of the wall....
It is 9:43 PM here....
I'm not sure where the new thread IS so....
I'll put up a new postcard!

OK... here is the new postcard. Tell me the CITY and COUNTRY. Its my opinion that this is the prettiest city in this particular country... well, from what I've seen on postcards anyway. But then, I am partial to night views with the city all aglow.... I now owe 2 prizes: one to Thorongil and one to Jandalf. I have been busy on the weekend with other things, mainly coming online for a short time to post a new chapter of my creepy fic and coming over here... so I'll make the prizes monday and mail them out. OK? Thorongil: thanks for being patient. Another little fact: the Blarney stone was a stone given to a king. The guy owed taxes to the king and he kept making up excuses as to why he couldnt pay. The man's name was Blarney and it got to be that 'blarney' means being able to talk well while not saying anything bad or insulting. hence the gift of the gab.

OK, I just mailed the prizes to Jandalf and Thorongil!! Sorry so late. My computer kept crashing on Monday and on Tues I was trying to get caught up on my fics. But I finally got them mailed! Hmmmm... I guess no one knows the current postcard that's up, so I'll close that one and put up a different one. The answer, by the way, is KOLN GERMANY. Let's see what I have ready for you..... Here is one! And here is ANOTHER one: I'll give you a CLUE to the one with the water. The clue is: EWAN. MAHAHAHA! Its your job to figure how that clue fits in with the photo!!! HAVE FUN!! And when you're guessing, please say WHICH picture you are guessing: the MOUNTAIN or the WATER. OK?

Jandalf and Thorongil: Could you please tell me who your favorite characters are? When I make prizes it would be helpful to know which characters you like. I know Eowyn like Anakin, but I'm not sure who you like...
Thanks!

Jandalf likes Padawan Obi-Wan. (laughs) I think it should be obvious... I mean, really... heh. But however did you get the idea I liked Anakin? (innocent smile) Epi I & III Ani, more... (before he's Vader) I also like Luke, Mara Jade, Jaina... yeah.
To take that clue of yours literally-- you would be referring to Ewan McGregor-- Obi-Wan's actor, correct? Thus meaning that bottom picture may be from Scotland? (shrugs) It's a pretty picture...

Thorongil: YES, Its Mount Kilamanjaro!! Hee-hee. I saw a video on the volcano not that long ago. It was very interesting. The whole top area is constantly frozen and then it melts and refreezes. All the water from the volcano keeps the land below it lush and tropical.
Eowyn: Yep, I meant the actor that plays Obi-Wan. And yes, the picture is in Scotland. But you need to tell me the name of the place in the photo. I needed to give a clue because just looking at the photo wasn't enough: it could have been anywhere. But this place is really, really famous. It shouldn't be all that hard to guess once you know its Scotland. And no, Ewan doesn't live there! (in case someone is thinking that) - but another celebrity does!
MAHAHAHA!
Yes, that was another clue. In fact, this other celeb may be more famous than Ewan....
Does anyone know who I mean? The celebs name starts with a "N".
Have fun with the new puzzle!

Thorongil ... perhaps I'm stupid but I dont know who the character on your sig IS. Its obviously not the Norse god Thor .. or if it is he's missing his hat and hammer. Nor does the comic books draw him that way... I tried an image search using "badger badger" that you have running under the sig and mostly got the Wisconsin small mammal, called a badger. Nor did a search for Ãmarant turn up pix of your white-haired character... for some odd reason it got pic of Aragorn from LOTR ... Is it anime? I'm not really familar with anime... I DO remember RoboTech from years ago as it was shown on American TV.... So I am out of clues here...
