"We are spossed to be taking care of Jabba not stuff our faces." Echo looked at the clone supsicoiucisly. That's what clones really look like? Hmm.

"I was hungry!!" THX shot back, "Don't tell me that you don't get hungry from time to time." The server droid put down the bowl of soup that THX had ordered. "Besides, you took over what I was in the middle of." The last comment was directed at Aayla. He picked up a spoon and started eating his soup.

Aayla was getting frustrated with the glitched clone. "I don't care if you were hungry!" she shouted, "If you were hungry, you at least should have asked me before you wandered off! And I didn't take over! You got disinterested!" She turned almost helplessly toward Echo and Ellodan. "THX, we need to get back to the task at hand. We can eat later!"

"There's a time and place for everything... the Ochean was saying, across the room.
The Corellian nodded. He's got that right. And this would be the time for me to hang back and not stick my nose into something and get it bitten off. He caught himself absently rubbing his nose. My proverbial nose, dolt! He snatched his hand away from his face and leaned against the wall inside of the door, watching the scene play out.

"Fine, I'll just eat that nasty dry freeze stuff." He mumbled as he left his tip and got up to leave. "Another addition? My, Aayla, you're worse than I am at picking up new 'assistaants' when you don't need them. And I see you found my freighter pilot. So, are we going to get info on this Hutt, or not? I'll get my clones and search the moister farms out in the dune sea, while you guys find out what you can here or wherever. Who's with me?" With that, he left the diner and contacted his clone squad.

The Ochean said, "I'm with you to the bitter end to bring down that son of a Hutt. I've got some contact in a tusken tribe I once ran into that could tell us when the slug is in."

"THX, I didn't..." Aayla started to say, but couldn't finish before the clone walked out, "...mean it that way. OK, you do that then. I have to contact Raven and see if he's OK. I haven't gotten a call from him lately."
Aayla moved briefly into a corner and dialed Raven's frequency, but for some reason it didn't go through. "Maybe I can try Itchy," she murmured to herself. She dialed Attitchituk's frequency and was relieved when the call went through. She left a brief message and rejoined the smuggler and Ellodan.

But how is your mission? I must begin my repairs, but between you and me, there are what appear to be Jedi here.

"Alright, my Ochean friend, Echo was it? You are coming with me then?" THX asked as he put his armor back on and finished his juri juice.

Aayla breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the reply from Attitchituk. She turned to the smuggler. "So, Kayden, are you going to help us or not?" She glanced at Ellodan, hoping he wouldn't frighten the Corellian away with another threat.

"I'm with you. Seeing as how I have nothing on my hands at the moment... can get boring, if you know what I mean." He stuck his hands in the pockets of his duster and glanced around the restaurant. "So, you got a plan, or are we just gonna go flyin' in there, and hope no one notices?" He shrugged, "I mean, it's not like we're gonna stick out or anything..." He gestured to the others standing around, and shrugged again. "If I were a Hutt, I might become a bit suspicious if an armed Clone sauntered into my lair.... but that's just me."

Aayla sighed, realizing that Kayden was speaking facts. "I understand completely. I'll have to order THX to remove his armor, or else we don't take him in with us. Unless, of course, he refuses my orders. Again." She turned to Ellodan. "What do you have to offer us?"

"Sure, but who was that that you were talking to in that cantina when we met?" THX was gaining hope that he might be able to pull off his scheme to get off planet for a little while...

“Come on, baby,” Halia coaxed the sputtering engine of her ship. “Please live!”
The worn piece of machinery coughed and wheezed before erupting in a miniature mushroom cloud of smoke. Halia grit her teeth in frustration and delivered a sharp kick to the landing wheels. This would have helped her only if the craft had the ability to feel. Which it didn’t.
Muttering to herself, the young reporter fished through the back of the cockpit for her box of tools. As though being forced into a vacation by her angry boss wasn’t enough, now her ship decided to commit suicide on the face of some foreign world. It was against her. Shoot, the whole stinking universe was against her.
Dropping the toolbox roughly to the ground, Halia climbed from the cockpit and stepped lightly across a gap to stand on one sickle-shaped wing. The ship rocked gently under her weight. Rubbing her forehead, she surveyed the damage.
The Razor wasn’t a new ship by any stretch of the imagination. Its body was once painted a bright blue; now it was a bit faded and chipped in several places. Its name was missing half of an “a” on its left side due to some rough weather on an ice planet.
The ship’s body was long and narrow, somewhat like an X-wing without the telltale appendages. Instead, the Razor’s wings were long and flat, similar in shape to two scythe blades that started at the stern and stretched towards the bow, pointing inward.
It looked old and haggard. But it always looked like that. Whatever was wrong with the blasted thing had nothing to do with external problems. The damage was on the inside; somewhere in that dark greasy abyss known as Under the Hood. Sighing, Halia slid off the wing and grabbed the toolbox. No point in delaying the inevitable any longer.
Walking to the front of the vessel, Halia patted the warm metal hull of the ship as though she was comforting a sick animal.
“You need a vacation more than I do,” she said. Cautiously she lifted the hood. As expected, a foul-smelling cloud of black smoke escaped into the wind. It looked like the engine had overheated again. Well, that wasn’t so bad. She started to slam the hood closed when something caught her eye.
The smoke was coming from a large crack in one of the ship’s hyperdrive thrusters. The supposedly brand new hyperdrive thruster.
“Cheap Jawa junk!” Halia sighed and ran a hand over her smooth brown hair, pulled back into a crown of tiny buns. She knew a lot, being a journalist, but ship anatomy wasn’t her area of expertise. She could take care of the little things, but a lot of the mysterious dark shapes that made the Razor do its thing remained anonymous to her. The hyperdrive thrusters fit into the “mysterious dark shapes” category.
The fractured thruster let out a hiss of blackened steam as though laughing at her.
“I hate you,” she said coldly. Now she was going to have to pay a mechanic. She had intended to save as much money as she could for more important things. Her stomach rumbled. Important things like food. Grumbling, she climbed back up the wing and hopped into the cockpit. She grabbed the ship’s communicator and sent out a call for help. It was dangerous, since anyone could pick up the signal, but it wasn't like she had much choice. She had no idea where the nearest civilization was. Her homeworld was Corellia; she wasn't usually in this neck of the galazy. This place was way too hot for her liking. Grimacing, she dropped to the ground and sat in the shadow of the ship. Frying wasn't her idea of a pleasant vacation.

Aayla nodded. "Very well. Meet me here at dusk. Then we will plan our strategy." Aayla turned to walk away, when something told her to check her comsensor. Sure enough, there was a call for help, coming from somewhere just outside the city. She contacted THX via comlink. "THX, there is an emergency call for help coming from somewhere north of the city. I'm going to check it out. Don't go too far!"
The tall blue Twi'lek headed out toward the signal, hoping it wasn't a trap.

THX unhooked his comm unit from his belt and replied, "Alright, but I'm going to find out what the locals know. To a point." The last part he muttered to himself after turning off his comm.
