Echo watched the master talk into the comlink and shut it off and leave at a brisk pace. Echo decided to follow, but knowing that she might pick him up with that Force-imochie stuff, he might as well talk to her. "Excuse me, Master Sercura, you look troubled. You need help with something?" He looked into her eyes. There was something about her that reminded him about his sister. They way she takes charge in tough situations, her snappy personality.

Kayden resisted the urge to say something rude to the retreating back of the Jedi, figuring that it would be better for him to keep his mouth out of trouble as well. Something Jend might not have done.... he thought to himself as he walked back into the dry air outside of the building.
He navigated his way through the twisting streets and alleyways back to the hangar that lead to his ship. He pushed through the old, swinging door, and letting out his breath when he saw the Anjali, exactly where he had left her, undisturbed.
The ship was small, a bit banged up, but well kept. Her exterior gave a first-glance impression of being older and a little dusty under the edges. But beneath the solid hull rested a heart that most ships didn't posess. Anjali had gotten him out of more than one tight place, and was the fastest and possibly the most maneuverable ship that he had ever had the priviledge to fly. He opened the hatch using an intricate security code of a combination of voice and touchpad, and walked up the short path to the bowels of the ship. He closed the hatch as soon as he was inside, and went into his small cabin to the back of the cockpit, to wait for dusk.

THX watched the retreating figure of Echo. "Fine, I'll do it on my own." He walked into the cantina and saw the two figures Echo had been talking to, and approached them. "I am THX1138, clone commander, and friend of Echo, the ohcean you where talking to. Would you help me against the Hutt?"

Aayla felt the presence of the Ohcean even before he had spoken. All of her senses were on edge. She glanced at him without slowing her pace and answered him.
"I sense something might be wrong. There is a call for help from somewhere just north of the city. I cannot tell if it is a trap. I'm not going to risk it not being one, though. You may come if you want."
She saw something in Echo's eyes when she glanced at him again, something... from the past, some old memory, perhaps. "Echo? Are you alright?" she asked almost anxiously.

"Ah, thank you, what is your name? I do not believe we where introduced." THX looked at a newspaper and saw that one of the two people sitting in front of him was wanted by Jabba. "I have an idea."

Eerin had be listening to the people sitting close to them. " Would this idea have anything to do with me, jabba and the end of the worm? Cuz erm.. if it does, COUNT ME IN!" She grinned wildly and spun in her seat. Tion looked at her like she was crazy, which she probably was. " Keep you voice down Eerin!" he hissed quietly. Eerin looked sheepish. " Sorry," she whispered. " the name is Eerin. You dont need to know anything else. What can i do for you today?" Tion rolled his eyes. " I'm Tion. Just Tion, and I have no idea wht i associate with her." He jabbed a thumb in her general direction, but she just ignored him and pushed her blond-ish hair out of her eyes. " Don't like this Jabba figure much?" she whispered, almost silently. She arched an eyebrow questioningly. "Yes? Not at all" She smiled, rather evily.

"Well, actually, me and Jedi Master Aayla Secura were deployed here to keep an eye on the Hutt, even though I should be out fighting the Separatists, not babysitting an overgrown slug, and Aayla decided that he was getting out of hand and must be eliminated. So yes I'm against the Hutt, and if I am not mistaken you are wanted by the Hutt?" THX remembered the bounty hunter that had trained his batch(the first batch) of clones, and the armor he wore, if he could disguise himself in armor like that and pretend to be a bounty hunter, he might be able to get in. "If you are with us, then meet us at the diner across the street at dusk."

"Nothing, just..... nothing." Echo closed his eyes and his mind raced back to when he was a little boy with his big sister playing hide and seek in Jabba's palace. After they lost each other inummerable times the decided to play tag. Echo was chasing Lairen in side the palace when they reached the Throne room. Echo stopped in his tracks while Lairen ran foward. "No, Lai, We're not allowed in here." She stopped and smirked at him. ":Where's your sense of adventure, Echo? Come on. Nothing will happen. I promise." Echo stepped inside. "Ok." Echo waled over to the giant bed Jabba sits on. Lairen smiled. "He sure is fat isn't he?" Then a guard came. "What are you doing here?" The two ocheans spun to see a gamorrian looking down at them. "We were just looking around--," Lairen stated to talk but he stopped her. "Two days in the stocks for both of you!" Lairen stepped closer. "No, give me four days and let him go. It was my idea." The guard smiled. "Sure," he said sinisterly, "your brother won't be harmed."
Echo was pulled out of the flash back and looked out into the dune sea of endless sand. He only had one thing on his mind. "Jabba WILL pay!"

Although Aayla could not see exactly what Echo saw, she could sense that he was lost in a disturbing memory. She left him alone with it and continued out into the desert. Soon she saw a damaged ship out in the middle of nowhere. She turned back to Echo. "Do you see that? That's where the signal is coming from!"

Hallia pulled herself further underneath the ship. The shadow was swiftly growing smaller as the day grew older. She wished she could climb back into the cockpit and turn on the cool air conditioner, but she had to run the heater to pull some of the hot air off of the engine. There was no way in this galaxy that she would climb into that oven and cook herself.
Taking a drink from a water bottle, she stared moodily out into the baked yellow desert. She could almost hear the ground sizzling as it was fried. Something in the distance caught her eye. Something darker than the yellow-orange ground was out on the horizon, too far away and too distorted by the waves of heat rising from the earth to see clearly. Was someone coming?

"I see it." Echo walked over to the ship first beacuse of his longer legs. He knelt down near the human. "You need any help? We got your message."

Hallia looked up at the two people who had found her. They seemed friendly enough.
"Yes, please," she said, crawling out from under the ship. "Thank you for coming so quickly. I'm kind of stranded." She gestured to the smoking engine. "Is there a mechanic or somebody I could call? I'm not from around here." Suddenly she remembered her manners.
"I'm Hallia Tallah," she said, extending a hand to her rescuers.

Aayla took Hallia's hand and shook it firmly. She could sense nothing dangerous about this human, and she also seemed just as wary of a trap as they. "I am Jedi Master Aayla Secura," she said in way of introduction. "I have some skill in the mechanical field. I might be able to fix your ship. But you must be hot and tired. There is a city just over the ridge with a diner. Would you care to join us for the evening meal? We can come help you with your ship when it gets a bit cooler maybe. Or, if it has enough juice left, you could fly it into the city and I can work on it there."

A Jedi Master? Hallia gave a mental sigh of relief as she realized that she was in no harm.
"Thank you," she said. "I don't think I can move my ship anywhere, but I would greatly appreciate going somewhere where I could eat something and avoid frying."

The Twi'lek nodded and turned to Echo and introduced the Ohcean. "Hallia, this is Echo." She turned to see the planet's binary suns beginning to set. "We'd better head back to the city," she said. "There's a diner there, where you can get something to eat. I'll pay for it."

"Thank you both," Hallia said again, and she meant it. It was great luck to have been rescued at all, even more so to have been rescued by a Jedi master. She wasn't overly familiar with Tatooine and she didn't want to end up learning about its gangs and unfriendly wildlife the hard way.
"What city are we headed to?" she asked, her natural curiosity emerging once more. She was used to asking questions; her profession called for it. It came naturally to her now, even while she was off-duty. Or on "vacation," as she was now. She slung her worn bag over her shoulder and follwed the Twi'liek and her friend.

"Mos Eisley," Aayla answered as she began to walk back in the direction they had come. "It's not a particularly nice place to visit, but it is the only settlement for some miles. Jabba the Hutt lives nearby," she continued. "There is word of an uprising against him. Many of the locals are dissatisfied with his criminal activities." The blue Twi'lek figured that the best way to discover their new friend's opinions on this matter was to give various clues before revealing their positions against the Hutt. She waited patiently for Hallia's reaction.

"I see," Halia said evenly. "I believe I have heard of this particular Hutt before." Her eyes narrowed slightly. "An uprising... I hope no one gets hurt. Fighting someone as powerful as Jabba will be difficult. A worthy cause, but a terrible enemy." She was silent for a moment, musing something.
"Jabba probably has his fat fingers in a lot of money pots in Mos Eisley. I'll wager most of the city's businesses are in some way connected to Jabba, whether they like it or not. Some of the rebels will discover that the hard way, I imagine." She gave a snort. "That's the worst part, you know. You think you're doing something big, something really important that'll help the entire city... You think you've got everything planned, that everything will go perfectly... then you find out that the great evil that you've been fighting so valiantly actually OWNS you. You're PART of it. It's been feeding you all this time, and you suddenly realize that you can't kill it without killing yourself and everyone around you. THAT is the grand irony of it all. You realize that YOU are the big joke that everyone's been laughing at." Suddenly she noticed how quiet it was. Did she just say that out loud!?
She blushed at her own sudden outburst. Clearing her throat, she adjusted her pack and stared at the ground.
