I figured now that school has started for all of us we needed a spot to discuss the daily trials and tribulations of our school days.
Well, I started school today. It was interesting. I had already known what to expect from my physics teacher and then I had study hall after that. Third period was gym. Same old same old, except for the fact that we now have freshmen in our class. That stinks. It is supposed to be Juniors and Seniors. At least my one friend is in the same gym period as me.
Fourth period I made my way up to math. This had to be the first most interesting part of the day. My math teacher handed out these notecards, had us write our names, phone #'s, parents, etc. on them and then, just before we were gonna hand them in, he told us to write the name of a planet we would create if we could create one and then to draw a picture of a being that would live on the planet. I was shocked, and I started laughing. I'm still shocked, but it looks like it's gonna be a fun class.
5th period was Spanish. The teacher can't speak very much english so he has to act out what he wants. It's quite hilarious. He's a much better teacher than I had last year though.
6th period was english. Same old, same old. Lots and lots of essays. Ugh. I came in today and was handed a piece of paper. We were told, write an essay about summer reading.
7th period was Behavorial Science aka Psychology/Sociology. Now here was an interesting class. I was the only Junior out of 30 Seniors. My teacher thinks everyone is a moron and we are all pathetic and should leave his class room. He thinks he should be considered clinically insane and he color coordinates his closet. He also lives with his mom. All in all, he seems like a great teacher. A bit odd? Well, that's our school for ya. I have him for history as well.
The bus rides were quite interesting. I got to school late, almost 15 mins. late because the bus driver took a very bad wrong turn. It was fun though. Then the bus driver took a LONG time bringing us home, but I had nothing to lose.
So, I had a good day today. I'm looking forward to next summer, but it seems like it will be a good year.
What about the rest of ya'lls?

school was fine for me today. not much different from last year, except that i get to feel the satisfaction of feeling done with each subject. I was way to busy last year to really enjoy that or feel it. Oh, yeah, i am homeschooled. perhaps that makes a difference. I am basically my own teacher. mom and dad grade some stuff. Oh, it's biology and natural history for science, ancient history for history, no English this year because my Liturature is in with my history (YEEEESSS!!!), geometry for math, Latin (fifth year), and lastly, religion. 5 subjects, 6 hrs of work. 8:00 a.m.-2:00p.m. (history is two hours long) Oh, then I have band once a week, three days of dance, a bible study also once a week, hospital volunteering by-weekly, and two novels to work on and revise. I'm fairly busy. I might T.A. at dance too, I won't find out 'til next week.
Imrahil: and so it begins.... Dori:what begins? Kira: THE BUSIEST PART OF MY LIFE!!! Dori: oh.

This is my second week of school. Needless to say, I'm already exhausted. And it's only the second week.
My classes this year are harder than any last year... (duh, yes?), and really not very exciting. Monday/Wednesday/Friday are normal days, Tuesday/Thursday are block periods. My normal day starts out with either Disclipleship or Bible Class, which is pretty simple, but my Discipleship teacher is completely the opposite of the lady we had last year, who had to move. Last year (and the year before that) our teacher rocked. She sympathized with us completely, because her son was in my class, and was my pretty good friend. But this year we have a psycho... she talks three hundred miles an hour, and is just too.... happy. Bleah.
Second period is Brit Lit, which is the best class that I have this year. First day, however, we were assigned with an essay on 'The Fleeting Nature of Life'. No joke. So I wrote it on Linden Leaves... What? It was that or pencil lead...
Third I have a study hall, which is with my US History teacher, who is the coolest guy in the world. For our block period with him, we went out and played Ultimate Frisbee, then this random game that he made up off the top of his head, for no other reason than to amuse himself and to watch us run around like idiots. Yeah... great guy.
Fourth is math lab. I hate Math. End of Story.
Fifth I have... ummm... Chemistry. Which is just more Math, but complicated with weird formulas and obnoxious stuff like Signifigant Figures... I still have four pages of Chem homework to do before Friday. Thank God for study group tomorrow night.
Then comes US History, which would be really fun, if you took out the 'US History' part. I'm not real big on recent History, my kind of thing is more Ancient stuff, especially Egyptian. I love that kind of crap. But the teacher rocks, so it isn't that awfully bad.
After that I have concert band. Whoopee, says me. I play the Bass Clarinet, which is pretty much what it sounds like -- a massive clarinet. Same fingerings, but comes with a neck-strap...
And AP Biology to finish off the day. Okay subject, dreadfully boring teacher. I mean, really boring. He's not very big, and he has the kind of voice that puts even the teacher's pet to sleep. The book weighs about five pounds, and doesn't fit in my locker. Oh, yes. This year, the Juniors, who are supposed to get the good lockers, got the same, five-inch wide ones that we did last year. And we're sharing them. *hits head on wall* There are freshman who have their own, big lockers. Our class has decided that we're suing the school if they don't switch us out before the end of this week....

I don't wanna go back!! They can't make me!! That is sorta how I feel on my first day of school.. he.. It was okay.. I didn't have a bad day but, there were the minor things.. I had a stomach ache till I got on the bus in the afternoon.. Me and THE.. So much fun..
Accounting was okay... We have an awesome class!! I mean the kids in their are sooo funny.. The teacher is too.. I am gonna do good in there...
English.. *bleah* That is all I have to say cause, this work load is gonna be more than last year.. *cries* I don't wanna do it!! He is more of a strict teacher.. I don't know what I am gonna do..
Biology.. Yes, my teacher is a total fruit.. It isn't funny.. He has this weird voice and looks funny.. Of course, i am gonna deffinatley pass it cause, i took it in 8th grade..
PE.. Easy and fun too.. I have THE in my class which makes it more enjoyable than, if I didn't know anybody and sat all by my lonesome..
French.. The teacher scares me some but, eh, that is okay.. I think I will get over it.. I have to spell my name out in french tomorrow.. Another class where, THE is in.. It is gonna be a blast..
Geometry.. This teacher creeps me out.. She is like deaf.. When the phone rang from the main office she didn't know it was ringing and I practically had to yell at her to pick it up.. heh.. Then, she is strict too.. She is a little on the too peachy side where I could get up and slap here..
We shall see tomorrow what History and Mixed Media have in store for me.. I will let you know.. Peace people..

Well, I'm half-way through my second week of school, and still alive!! That's the good news. My life seems to be settling once again into that orderly, crammed pattern it takes on during the school year. No more lazy days of summer, alas... Waking up is perhaps the hardest part, with staying awake throughout the day as a close second. I haven't quite adjusted to getting up at 6:20 again yet!!! (I know that's late for some of y'all, but I NEED MY BEAUTY REST!!! ;D) First period is math. Geometry, to be exact, carried over from last year. They say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... but I'm beginning to believe I'd rather be dead. Honestly, the proofs are driving me insane! Sigh. Music is next, which is much, MUCH better. I love my piano, and I'm hoping to talk my parents into getting my guitary lessons... Then is physical science/biology. Blegh. It's good for me though, because it'll be a challenge - I need challenge. I'm doing my best to stick this one out, although I hate science. After that I do my chores, then lunch... (yeah, I'm homeschooled, BTW) Lunch would be a good part of the day, but it is my least favorite meal of the day. Unless there's leftover pizza. Pizza is good, but I don't like sandwiches. Fifth period is American History and American Literature. They're combined into a curriculem where I basically have to read a LOT of great American classics, and that will teach me about the time period while getting me my literature credit. Uncle Tom's Cabin, The Grapes of Wrath, To Kill a Mockingbird... I am going to enjoy this class. Reading I can do! Debate: This is fun, even though I don't have any "real" homework yet. A hard class, but fun. And FINALLY, english and vocab, which are definitely my two easiest subjects. SAT preparation, mostly. And then it's over!!! I can collapse, or read, or get on M.E.I...

Ok, I have school and the local junior college four days a week. I have only been here about a week and a half and already I have had to contend with insane parking, a crazy spanish teacher, a philosophical english teacher, a good art teacher, and my computer teacher.
Let me say a few words about parking first. On Monday and Wednesday, it's no big deal because I'm here so early. On Tuesdays and Thursdays (like today) I get here and hour and 1/2 before my first class jsut to park my car! It's ridiculous, and thankfully the rush should be done by next week. Until then, I do what the police men tell me to do and try not to get hit...
On Monday and Wednesdays, I have an Beginning drawing class at 7:30 in the moring (CURSE IT!!!!) and it goes until about 11:00. I actually like this class, although until I get a lock for my drawer, I have to haul my stuff to and from my car. I will be getting a lock very soon, to say the least. After that, I have a 2 hour and 50 minute break, during which I try to keep myself sane and get my work done. Then I get to go to my computer class. I have grown up on Mac computer, so working with Windows is a bit confusing, but there is a computer lab, and it isn't that hard yet. Besides, I already knew how to upload files (I can thank fanfiction for that one!).
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I get here about 7:30 so I can park my car even though my first class isn't until 9:10. That is how bad the parking is. Anyway, I laze about for an hour or so, then go to my spanish 2 class. It's not really fair to call my teacher crazy, because she is a nice lady and a good teacher. But her schedule is RIGID and so strict it's almost scary! I dont' classify myself as a slacker, mind you. But his is one hard teacher! Not to mention it has been all summer since I last spoke spanish!!! After this class, which gets out around 12:00, I have 1 hour and 50 minutes until my next class. It is easier to stay sane during this break because I usually have work to do. Then I go to my English 1A class, which at the moment is very easy because all we do is listen to the teacher and take notes. I like to write, so it isn't that hard for me yet. And my teacher has a British/Indian (as in India, not Native American) accent and is rather amusing, so it helps pass the time. This class ends at 4:10. When it is done, I go home!!!!
So yeah, I have to go to Spanish 2 in less than an hour.

Ok, here's how my first day went: I get to school at 8:45. I roam around aimlessly. The crowd was formed like a mob outside the gym doors, as if they had to conserve body heat. Seriously... Mind you I don't like people much, unless they're my friends or they're on a forum, like here. 9:00 comes around and I came into the gym and after abit more shoving through the crowd (which was now very dense near the gym doors, and didn't move much) I found 3 friends and sat down through the assembly. Principle babbled about how good our school is (don't get me wrong, it is a good school) , and how we should do our best by that time, there was a roar of conversation overpowering him. We were quieted down by a teacher. Every five minutes my friends would ask me if anything important was being said, since they were talking a lot. Lol. Then homeroom came. My homeroom teacher is great. A little overenthusiastic, but still ok. So we got our timetables and headed off to our first class. I headed there, and found much to my dislike, the exact same general crowd of people from French last year...Oh...great...That wouldn't be so bad if they weren't jocks...and talk behind your back...One of my friends is in that class, so its ok. The teacher is good, and knew all our names after one class. There were only 16 in that class, but still. Now for Applied math. This course is going to be a blast. 2 friends in this class. One sits right in front of me. Both of us had one of those graphing calculators that you can program and play games on. The teacher is good, could tell she was experienced. The course covers a few of my strengths, so I'll do fine. The teacher handed out a worksheet and we tried about 7 questions, then gave up. Just couldn't figure out how to format the equations properly on a calculator. Or maybe I didn't try hard enough...anyway, I ended up playing a game for the rest of the class. Sometimes I'm a horrible slacker, that's my weakness. Now for software applications. Teacher is going to be good. Explains stuff clearly. This is probably going to be one of my favorites. As soon as he said we're not going to be learning the office suite (office, word, excel, access) I was SO relieved. Instead we'll be doing some web page creating & coding (yes!), basic flash stuff, and a fake stock market simulator. And I get to work at my own pace for most of it! Lunch. I was very, very hungry by this time. Found friends instantly and we began talking about which classes we were all in and all that. Videogames, lame puns, the usual. Second last period, Art 20g. This one is good too. I love art, and again, a friend is in it. Same teacher as last year, which is good. We'll be doing some perspective, painting, pencil sketching, and cartooning. The last period I have a break. Well, that's what is says in the schedule. Its actually meant for getting in gym courses. You have to have taken 10 gym courses to pass high school. Together they equal 1 credit, and they typically last 10-12 days. This will be fun some weeks (bowling, archery, skiing), and not so fun others (fitness, tennis, and more I can't remember). That's my first semester right there. I think It'll be good.

Lunch is okay because, I eat with a few teachers so, I am not so worried about that.. Everything else is a okay..

Ahh... I feel the late to class pain. We only have three minutes between our classes, and they're separated between two buildings. In the afternoon, I start in the North building, but lunch is in the South, but it's not too hard to make it to that class. After that, however, I have US History in the South building, all the way at the back wall. You have to force your way through the High School hallway (our school is Preschool-12), where there are a million JHers running about clogging everything. Mr. Sweet likes our class, so he doesn't count us tardy, even though we're late every single day.
A couple periods later, I go from the Band room (also in the back hallway), all the way to the Lab which is in the upper back hallway of the North building. No joke, we're five minutes late to that class every stinking day. It really rots. And Norberg does count us tardy. Which could do dastardly things to my AP Bio grade.

Our teacher locks you out if you're late, so you have to sit in the hall waiting for the next class to start. it's actually fun sitting out there if you're with the right people. lol. My teacher let us watch star wars movies he downloaded of the internet yesterday!!!! for a whole class period!! we have to pick a short kid to be "buddies" with. there's this one kid that's a punk, glad I didn't get him. mine just sits there. My Homeroom teacher is awesome!!! yesterday was his b'day, and he wore this hat that said party all day. hee hee my history teacher is nice, she's been gone for about three weeks though, because her dad is dying.. :*( I've never been as good at history as I have been in her class.. and I have never stunk so much at science until this year, odd how things switch like that. lunch is 1 hr. and a fifteen minutes.. ;D ;D ;D one dude makes his own lunch, and he brings two slices of bread, and two boxes of lunchables.

I have a tornado process paper due today in my English class. The only bad thing is that I'm still not clear on how a tornado forms, so my essay is a bit... scattered, although I'm not about to change my topic. I also had to get ten sources for my research paper that I'm doing on the Fall of the Roman Empire.
I'm my art class, I have my master drawings and my portfolio due tomorrow. I only have to do three more original drawings for the master's thing, so that's good, I guess, considering I had NONE of them done last week...
Computer's is frusterating. I can't do a lot of the owrk here at home because I have a Mac with Word 2005 instead of the needed Windows with Word 2003, so as of now I ahve to do all my work at school. If I don't, I'll slip out over it all like I did last week...
The weird thing is, I didn't have all this pressure last week, at least not until my birthday on Thursday. Geez, it's like ya turn 17 and the weight of the world comes crashing down on your shoulders.
Oh, and I have to finish my grammar notebook that was originally not due until the end of the semester but is now due Thursday.
Wow, I'm in trouble...
