Heh.... in Community Service class I met a lady who dated Tad William's brother.... which may have been a bad thing, as we found out later that she was a lesbian.... Good times.
I have nothing to read. I haven't been to the library in.... two months... I am going to die.
A guy that I hardly know asked me the other day where my book was. Apparently I read too much. *shrugs* A friend of mine was talking about this girl in her class (my friend just moved to Montana from California, so she didn't know anyone yet really), and she didn't know her name, so she was describing her. These were her exact words...
"Well, she wears glasses, is super skinny. Probably reads books..."
I just about died. Then I asked her if I looked like I read books.... and she gave me the funniest look in the world. 'Cause I don't. Think of conservative punk style. If I went to public school, my hair would be blue. It was sooooo funny. I may act like a geek, but I don't really look like one.....

The beginning Lemony Snicket books ARE a little predictable, yes. But they get really good as it goes along, and more and more mysteries surrounding their parents and Count olaf are revealed... Just read some of the others, and hopefully you'll love them as much as I do.
And they have indeed made a film of HHG2TG, and it's out on May 6th, I believe. ANOTHER FILM I CAN'T WAIT FOR!

I found... uhhh... I can't remember the titles, darn it. I'll have to go and look later... sigh. They were LotR ripoffs born and bred.
Ella Enchanted is a good book.

It's great! Gail Carson Levine is a great author. It's cool the way she uses the same species in her books, but totally changes the characteristics. The Two Princesses of Bamarre is good as well. That's my favorite of her books.
But the movie they made was so, so, SO horrible! I do not like Anne Hathaway, she has no acting abilities whatsoever.

I liked the book Ella enchanted better then the movie... I like all of Gail Carson Levine's books. They're fun. I liked the Fairy's Mistake alot.
Does anybody here read Tamora Peirce?

You bet they do!
I like a lot of her books. Some are a little to... racy, like the Alanna books, those got on my nerves. I haven't read all the Daine books yet, But I read the Lioness Quartet, and the Protector of the Small Quartet, plus Trickster's Choice & Queen.

I read the Alanna books and agree with Sblomie about some of the content, and I think I read then out of order so was confused. Circle of Magic was cool, and I read the first Protector of the Small but can't remember much about it so it was probably average.

It's only questionable after the first book. But it's nowhere near as bad as some other books. Trust me, I read ALOT. The Daine quartet and protector of the Small series is clean and very good to read. I like the Protector of the Small series the best but my friend think I'm more like Alanna...

I haven't read them. I like the Passages books a lot-- they're Adventures in Oddesy-- I wanna fanfic them... heh. Because they left off awkwardly.
Also, I recommand the Mars Diaries. When the one character said, "Please tell me he is NOT your father" I started laughing for some odd reason... heh.
And Wings of Dawn. I forget who wrote it. Same guy as those Mars books.
...THANK YOU ADRIENNE FOR MAKING ME READ THEM!
*snickers*

No, I don't like them anymore. They don't have as much to do with the Bible, especially with all the stuff with NovaCom, and then Eugene disappeared...
