You've... you've... YOU'VE READ THE DEATH GATE CYCLE?!!!!!!!!!! *Screams* FINALLY! SOMEONE ELSE!!!! I've been wondering whether I was the only existant person to read those books... Zifnab is so COOL! Why... because he's insane... heh. I think Jandalf might like his character too...
((Wonders why Trinity called this board haha...))
Anyhow, I have read both Shadowmoon, and The Death Gate Cycle *wants to kill Bane. Bane can DYE! Kill that stupid, conspiritorial little BRAT! He's worse than Ani!* Shadowmoon-- I haven't read the last book, can't find it-- it's an intersting series, anyhow-- magical, and somewhat like LotR, if you can follow it. It's intersting, no doubt.
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'VE READ THE DEATH GATE CYCLE TOO!!!!!!!!!!!! *Still wants to kill Bane, still thinks that Limbek reminds her of Bilbo in a manner, still thinks that the series reminds her a lot of LotR, still thinks everyone shuold probably read it.*
Maybe we should start a thread to discuss Death Gate...

Does it actually SAY that?! Oops, it was the first thing that popped to mind *blushes in embarrassment* I just, y'know, did whatever *makes point to NEVER do that again*...
Nope, I've never read those books... I let my little brother buy SW books, then i read them... The only problem is that he doesn't buy them very frequently and when he does it is usually out of order. He NEVER listens to common sense...

It's okay... you wouldn't've known what that was for-- THAT'S WHY YOU MUST LEARN! YES, LEARN MY YOUNG PADAWAN... erk... heh heh... *looks around for Jandalf nervously* I've read the Death Gate Cycle... you might want to read it, Trinity-- it's no worse than the Matrix at any given point-- just read them BEFORE you buy them... heh heh... -Eowyn Skywalker

BANE SHOULD DYE!! i just started Shadow Moon, like yesterday. it's sortof confusing so far. interesting though. its ok trinity. i've never read sw in order either, becuase some eras i dislike. what do you like to read??

That'd be Hugh the Hand-- he always reminded me of Han Solo, or Boba in a way... you knowwhat I mean. What's his face-- the human dude in Elven Star... he also made me think Han-- just the way he acts, and all.
I have to agree, Haplo is cool-- most Patryns are, the Runes magic, and all... just not Xar (shudders). I don't like Lord Xar, he's evil. Alfred is kinda cool too-- the way he hid his real adentity under a bumbling servant like Threepio-- and yet he still does things as Corin, just doesn't remember them.
I haven't read Shadowmoon yet-- just Death Gate. And I didn't read the SW books in order either... stillhaven't read them all.
We have to make a thread about Death Gate.

Ah, I see that it does. Oh well...
I will check the local library when I get the chance... I like reading! The only problem is that I read FAST! I've been known to do over 200 pages in one afternoon. It is both a blessing and a curse...
I like to read Meg Cabot books like "The Princess Diaries" and "All American Girl". They are fun books and I like the way she developes her characters. Her newest one, "Teen Idol" didn't have as good of character developement, but it had a good message. I also like "Bloody Jack" and the sequel, "Curse of the Blue Tattoo". They are SO funny! I can't think of the author at the moment, though... I like a lot of books, actually. Can't think of them all right now...
Oh, I like a book called "Snow" a whole lot! It's like Snow White, but different. I check authors later... Have any of you read any of these books?

Wow, I feel so out of the loop... *makes mental note: Must find Death Gate Cycle....*
*WARNING: is going to mention Tad Williams* I think I'm going to give warnings like that every time I do it.... 'tis a good plan.
Anywho, you must read Tad Williams! His Fantasy is so incredible well written that you don't really notice that it's Fantasy until half-way through the series. Well, I guess you can tell that it's Fantasy, but it isn't the obvious kind like Forgotten Realms, or any of those. Speaking of which, Drizzt rocks! *ahem* Tad Williams... The Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series (The Dragonbone Chair, The Stone of Farewell, To Green Angel Tower vol. I and II) is the best, the Otherland series (City of Golden Shadow, River of Blue Fire, Mountain of Black Glass, and another one who's name I can never remember) is a bit confusing, and War of the Flowers was a 'masterful work of literary art' (that didn't come off a real review, I just like to say that). You must read it.
Has anybody read The Wheel of Time series? They're pretty good too. I've read one through seven, and I'm thoroughly in love with Lan.... *sighs* and Gaul.... and Mat.... *sighs again* I can't seem to make up my mind.

I'm a fast reader too... heh heh... if that's the case with you, Trinity, you'll have fun with Death Gate... though I have to warn you prehence, book 3 is freaky... *mutters about PotC lookalike characters* Yeah, you guys MUST read Death Gate. And I will look for Tad Williams too... okay.
I started on the Wheel of Time-- we bought books 1-4, but I haven't found time to finish the last three that we bought yet... whoa, those things remind me of LotR... and SW too, in a manner. Morain *can't spell name*... she reminds me of Gandalf. A LOT!
I want to make a thread to discuss Death Gate... those books are good...

No, 'fraid I haven't. What's it about... I'm trying to find more interesting books to read... Artemis Fowl was really good... heh.
I will look for the Tad Willams books on my next trip to the library. Okay? In the meantime, I have to finish reading the Girl Who Heard Dragons, a collection of short stories by Anne McCaffrey. Not my favorite of her books, I'll have to say... too many short stories, snrk.

ooh I love Artemis Fowl. The first book so far is about: *grabs chair and clears throat. Starts to tell the story in a dramatic loud voice*
A young boy named Eragon who lives in Alagaesia finds a dragon egg and it hatches. He names the dragon Saphira (Suh-fear-uh) and becomes the first of the Dragon Riders in a really long time. There is an evil king named Galbatorix who is trying to ruin the world basically and hes fighting the Varden, which is made up of dwarves, elves, and men. He needs to destroy the Varden so he can rule the world. Galbatorix wants to get Eragon on his side but Eragon joins the Varden.
Theres more but i didnt wanna ruin it. Heh, it's one of my favorite books. Have you read the Amulet of Samarkand?

Eragon is really really really good. The whole Artemis Fowl trilogy (I think) is about this like 13 year old genious named Artemis whos really rich and is this criminal (sp?) mastermind and in the first book he steals the faeries bible thing and kidnaps a faerie named Holly Short. It's really confusing..can anyone explain it better than me? I've had to much sugar) I read a little of Unfinished Tales. Not very much. I have the book somewhere in my room.

Artemis Fowl... *snicker*.... I read those books last summer on a road trip. All, what?, three of them in one day. They were, I must say, rather interesting. Even if the faerie things aren't exactly how I think faerie things are supposed to be. I like Artemis, though. And his bodyguard person, who's name I coveniently forgot to remember...
I've read Unfinished Tales a couple of times, and the Silm, and a few of the Histories... I still need to find the Book of Lost Tales I and II, though. My dinky little library in my dinky little main street town doesn't know good literature when they see it.
Anybody read Terry Goodkind? He writes pretty well. And I love Zedd (his name's actually Zeddicus 'zul Zorander, but that's a bit of a mouthful...). Wizards be cool.

Erm.... there's a whole bunch of them, I do believe. The series is called The Sword of Truth (how generic is that?), and I know the first book is called Wizard's First Rule. I have a friend with a major obsession with them. Think me and Tad Williams, only much, much worse. Hey, Gandalf kinda looks like Zedd, minus the stick and the beard....

Summerizing Artemis Fowl, which is a very fasinating book-- must find the other two yet...
/grabs book\
"Twelve year old Artemis Fowl is a millionarie, a genius--and above all, a criminal mastermind. But even Artemis doesn't know what he's taken on when he kidnaps a fairy, Captina Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. There aren't the fairies of bedtime stories--they're dangerous! Full of unexpected twists, Artemis Fowl is a riveting, magical adventure."
There, summary straight from the book jacket, snicker.
Has anyone here read Acorna, by Anne McCaffery. Interesting books, they are...
