Yeah. He was kinda liked Gandalf. Especially since he could to a little magic. Magic in the books sounded alot harder than the magic you usually invision. Of course he didn't carry around a staff.
I have to many books. No wait, you can never have to many books. I'm trying to think of all the books that I have that I really like. Oh what about Sirena?
Its about a group of Sirens and the main Siren's name was Sirena. Well, Siren's whole goal is to lure sailors in by singing *found in ancient Greek mythology* and Sirena and her sisters do that but usually the sailors end up dying. Anyway Sirena swims to another an island and meets a soldier who was left behind because of a snake bite *they were going off into the Trojan War* Sirena nurses him back to health and they eventually fall in love.
Its a pretty good book.

I really liked Firebringer and The Sight. just bought firebringer, actually...there's another book called Fire Bringer, two words, which is about unicorns, and they're fighting these things called...wyrms?? they're like little dragons. i can't remember the real plot that well but it was good.
anyone like the idea of making a thread for or about original fiction? i know someone out there writes it beside me...i mean we could give eachother ideas and stuff, like Tolkien and CS Lewis's group...i know what they were called, i do...i think the point is i need help with non-fan fics!!

That sounds like a really good idea, shieldzup. I don't know about anyone else, but I am STARVING for a story plot that hasn't already been used!!! I tried to write one set back in the gold rush days, but it's hard to write about that stuff because a) you weren't there, and b) you need an extensive amount of historical knowledge, and I don't have a whole ton of that yet. Believe me, it is EMBARRASSING when someone gives you a piece of contructive criticism about stuff that you got wrong and should have known. I say, let's go for it!

The Inklings!!!!! We could be like the Inklings!!!
Bob: Except for the fact that they were all literary geniuses...
Dun: Yeah, minus that fact....
I just read a book called "Finding God in That weird kid with the glasses... what's his name? Peeves: Potty Wee Rotter.", which I would recommend to anyone. It was incredibly interesting, and the guy who wrote it made some extrememly valid points. There is a whole lot of symbolism in the books that I missed.... Anyway, you should read it. It's pretty short, but it's a tad bit confusing... Read it anyway.

I have so many Redwall books it's scary! My brother and I read them for lack of anything else with a good story line... I like all the food! The downer is that people ridicule us on occasion. My grandma nicknamed them "Rodent Wars" and laughed hysterically. No one can appreciate the rich wording, the lovely character developement, the fun adventures, and the action! Seriously, you would never think mice could be so violent...
Have you read his other book, "Castaways of the Flying Dutchmam"? That's a good book and isn't about mice...

Redwall is a series set in midevil times, with animal characters, oft repeated plotlines, and wonderful descriptions of pretty much everything. there's like sixteen of them...i've read all and own about eight. Outcast of Redwall is my favorite...SUNFLASH IS COOL. 'flying dutchman' was ok. it got a little to realistic for me. there's a sequel out know, you know? sorry, Trin, never heard of those.

Anakin: Groan.
Eowyn: Oh... right... heh. Anyhow, I think I might've found another fanfiction genre... *dots appear*
Anakin: Be very scared...
Eowyn: Uh... yeah. As he said.
