Esteemed Jandalf,
I seem to have found myself in a bit of a problem. I am "in the market," as it were, for an apprentice. Could you possibly find time in your busy schedule to refer me to an eligible choice? I appreciate your time.
Sincerely, Shade of Darkness

Dear Jandalf,
I know this is not my place to be writing letters in answer to questions, but I have a few recommandations to my seeming-fellow Siths here, and... well... yah. Please post to the sith-who-went-into-Moria-and-was-ambushed that from Sith to Sith, I suggest that he goes and gets himself a new friend. Or a Master. I'm sure Darth Aragorn won't mind... (considering I talked to him last night...)
And to Shade of Shadows, please feel free to recommand me as a possible apprentice.
Thanks, Your's Shadowfully, -Shadow

Dear Padawan-of-said-master-who-hopes-her-Master-does-not-find-out-her-padawan-wrote-this-letter, Argh. Another long name. Ah, well. Actually, when I got my Padawan, I was in the same place as your Master is now. Hadn't a clue. But this crash course thing really works. Give her a little time, and she'll work things out. Maybe you can refer her to me for a few tips...if she ISN'T WHO I THINK SHE IS. (coughmyPadawancough) If you have any more questions, feel free to post 'em. Yours masterfully, Jandalf the Orange Dear Master, I have the oddest feeling that this was slightly directed at me... no clue why. (coughbutIdon'tthinkyou'ddowelltoattempttogivemetipsonbeingamasterbesidesIgotYaz-toandshesaysthatallJediMastersdoisactmatureinanimmaturesortofwaycough) Anyway... I can tell you were clueless at being a master in the beginning, but not as clueless as I am! At least you'd wrote Jedi Master characters before! (Besides, if you didn't want me as a Padawan, you shouldn't've went and called me that!) Yours Padawanfully, -Tiana PS: Padawan, I'm not a Master yet, just a Knight. I'm not going that far up the scale!! And, I'm sorry to say that I found out about your letter... erm... *shifty eyes* Jandalf... uhh... you aren't TOO annoyed at me for getting my own Padawan, are you? *sweet smile* I mean, you haven't been online that often... *mutters that she still has yet to be Knighted, but that's not the point... we'll see how the rest of LotG goes...* PPS: I hope I wasn't too much of a bother back in the beginning, Master... heh. *rolls eyes* MTFBWY!

Dear Shade of Darkness,
In the market, are you? Well, if you're aiming for a Jedi apprentice, you should advertise! Let the Council know you're open for a Padawan, and start talking to those who might be looking for a Master. You might even want to post a new thread. Let me know how it turns out!
Yours truly,
Jandalf the Orange
Dear Sith-who-walked-into-moria-with-his-best-friend-and-got-ambushed-by-a-balrog,
First, get a shorter name. Balrogs find those with long names much tastier.
Secondly, I suggest you try to meet Lester the Unevil Balrog. I think Maeg has his phone number. You can see his letter to me yourself on the page preceding this one. I'm sure it would help you both to team up and fight against Balrog ambushes on unsuspecting Sithly travellers.
Yours sympathetically,
Jandalf the Orange
Dear Tiana,
I had a feeling you'd have something to say about this. Oh, well.
You know, you've now had some practice of your own, writing Jedi Masters. I'm sure you'll do fine.
Attempting to stay on top of things,
Jandalf the Orange
P.S.: No, I'm not angry because you found a Padawan. That's good. I just hope we'll still be able to find as much time for each other as we used to...sigh. And I thought I HAD Knighted you. But I can't remember.

Dear Master,
No clue how you knew I'd have something to say about this... heh. Just because I do reply to nearly everything that has to do with me...
You aren't expecting me to finish LotG on my own now, are you?! You can't DO that to me! I don't know Jethine, or Elachi's character's well enough!!! (hits head on medal pole) Oh well... I'll... survive. For now. I suppose over the next while we won't have as much time though... maybe after Christmas. *shrugs*
Stuck on top of everything, annoyingly,
Tiana
PS: Well, I'm relieved that you aren't mad! Heh... but me having a Padawan now isn't going to make any difference in our lack of time... sigh. And Tiana was sort of Knighted once, which was the original PW ending, but it didn't work out. I still classed myself as a Padawan, because she was still to immature to be a Knight. (we have to work our way quickly to the rescue and see how it goes from there...)

Dear Padawan,
Don't count on an abundance of time during Christmas break. (grimaces) Catch-up and all that. I AM going on a two-week missions trip during school, you see.
I happen to echo your sentiments about LotG...perhaps we should fall back on that thread in the mods board and post like an RPG on boards...I don't know. Sigh. I'm just afraid of losing LotG to someone else besides us.
Still too darned busy for her own good,
Jandalf the Orange
PS: How about we end this chain letter thing?
Dear Shade in Shadows,
A...SITH? Agh. Well, you take what you can get, I suppose.
Tactfully yours,
Jandalf the Orange

Dear Shade in Shadows, A...SITH? Agh. Well, you take what you can get, I suppose. Tactfully yours, Jandalf the Orange un-dear not-so-esteemed Jandalf, Yes, you did hear me correctly. I am a Sith. And I already have a problem: My newly acquired apprentice seems to disrespect me. She tells me what to do, she corects me, and she plays annoying, pointless games with me. Please give whatever advice is available, you being a Jedi and all. Appreciated as much as can be. Shadily not yours, Shade in Shadows P.S. With all due respect, please tell Tiana it was not my fault...IT WAS THE JEDI SCUM!

Dear Jandalf,
Please do not give my Master any advice, it serves her right to see that she is NOT all knowing and powerful. She needs someone correcting her every now and again.
Shadowly yours, Shadow
PS: Please don't tell her I wrote this!

Dear Shade in Shadows,
(grins) My goodness, but does your apprentice ever sound like I used to be when I was a Padawan! I gave my Master no end of grief. My advice to you is: don't let it drive you crazy, because trust me when I say there is no way you can stop it. Mwahahaha. In addition, this is an infectious syndrome. If you want your apprentice to stop doing this, make sure she isn't talking to anyone who's also like that.
And next time you mail me a letter, be sure to use a little more tact when you're talking about us Jedi scum.
Yours scummily,
Jandalf the Orange
PS: I suggest you come to realise the universe does not revolve around you, and fast, before you start a chain of tornadoes.
Dear Shadow,
Your Master sounds like a royal pain. I suggest you abandon her and come to the Temple. We're a lot nicer.
And don't worry about her hearing of this from me. This is a very confidential business I'm running.
Ever yours,
Jandalf the Orange

***
Dear Jandalf...
I have a problem. I'm stuck on Myrkr with a crazed fanatical once-Jedi-Master who doesn't particularly act like one now. I'd love to leave, but I also don't want to abandon him due to... er... emotional attachment.
I'm confused. I don't know whether it'd be better to leave or stay. I mean, he's never hurt me, and I don't think he could. But he has hurt other people... and I don't want to leave in case I could prevent something. But I also tire of being relatively locked away in Forceless drear. And there's people outside of Myrkr that I greatly miss... and wish I could help in their own situations. Not to mention my daughter...
Help!
Tiredly yours, Tired

Dear TGWARLN,
SALUTE!
Respectfully yours,
Jandalf the Orange
Dear Tired,
Well...that's interesting. I recently served a term on Myrkr under a crazed fanatical once-Jedi-Master myself. My erstwhile Master, rather. Perhaps you're stuck in an alternate dimension at the moment? If everything goes as smoothly as it might in such a circumstance, you may want to wait things out and see what happens. He may come around after all's said and done, and hopefully you'll be able to avoid nasty little things like narratorial control and asphyxiation and bad events of that sort. So here's hoping you're stuck in the right dimension!
Best wishes,
Jandalf the Orange

Dear bob t3H KING!,
You seem oddly familiar.
Hi! I've never received a letter from a stormtrooper before, would you believe. In the Death Star all your life? I don't suppose you suffer from claustrophobia, but perhaps you should get out more often if you can. See the galaxy! Evacuate bases! Blow things up!
Sadistically yours,
Jandalf the Orange
